Making and Selling a Fake Penis to Pass Drug Tests Could Get You Sent to Prison?

now to make this real interesting: are you who claim drug testing is unfair/irrelevant/other apply the same muster to a security clearance?
It depends on how it's applied.
A zero tolerance approach is overdone.
The whole security clearance practice has become a religious ritual that often fails to accomplish its desired goal.

I spent years working in a defense lab with people who were running numbers, on the take and abusing just about any substance imaginable, which is to say just like ordinary life.

This topic is just another demonstration that if you create a system, people will game it.

I have worked with substance abusers who were very productive and with straight-arrow folks who were drones or destructive.

All the formal testing systems seem to simply convince people that the use of good judgment and common sense is a bad idea.

then he has a prescription, he tells the employer, takes the test, and gets the job because it's LEGAL to have a prescription...i'm not doing the mr. macky drugs are bad m'kay, i'm just saying illegal drugs are just that ILLEGAL. whether or not i think weed should be legalized isn't the point...the point is it's not legal and these people helped pot heads and OTHER drug users cheat the system and put other lives at danger
Pick your argument. Is it about performance on the job or legality?

Interesting debate, but I'm wondering what conspiracy did they plead guilty to? Is evading a test given by a private party really punishable by law,
Many paroles require drug testing... I'd imagine knowingly or purposefully facilitating a parole violation is illegal.

Well not exactly because from what I understand many private employers in Cali are firing medical mj patients.
