I've never seen dirt like that at mammoth.
I wonder where it came from?

there is real dirt at mammoth - you just need to dig 10 feet down. they are building the course in and out of the halfpipe like they did a few years ago last time the races were at canyon lodge.

I remember hitting Mammoth several years ago after NORBA was last there when they were running out of Canyon Lodge and the DS/4x course they built looked very nice.

Did you notice that if you are an Expert, the 4X race and downhill practice are at the same time Friday? They did this last year too. Why wouldn't they stick to the schedule that worked all season?

Yeah, noticed that, nice work by NORBA, again. I am still going to enter both the DH & 4X, hopefully they will re-schedule the DH practice forward a couple hours to accomodate experts who want to participate in both (after all, they have re-arranged the schedules all year anyways). NORBA, are ya listening, this means more $ because more people will enter both events if they can still get all of thier practice in & still race 4X????

Another question, what is the possibility of experts walking the DH course with the pros? Would be nice to see it before we ride it, no?

A friend of mine is only racing DH for that exact reason. No time to practice, and if you end up late on the list for start times, you will have to press to make it to your next event.

I checked out the camera today, doesnt look like they made anymore changes besides taking all the tractors out of there.
