Ok, I heard a dirty rumor that you can still race at Mammoth in the DH (not Kamikaze) if you haven't qualified for the champs.
Meaning you can race, but you are basicly racing for fun rather than a championship.

It does seem pretty elitist in the sub-Expert classes...if you can pony up the $53, they oughta let anyone race.....but sorting out the 'Category Championship' racers might be a hassle....? I dunno. Everyone should race and feel speshul.
