Did you see that Lopes (the newly crowned US 4X Champ) raced DH?

I am not surprised by all the DNF's. That course was brutal. I front flatted in in the high speed flats and managed to get one myself. :(

I believe those are the Super-D results. Super-D has been getting racers from both sides lately, and the field seems to grow at every race.

OK...just checking the results and will wait to hear this from the mouth of an attendee....but that place must have been a ghost town of a bike race? None of the classes were even full capacity?

Now, start posting video and photos folks.

Actually, I just checked results at norbanationals.com and those are the Kamakaize results, not super-d. I heard that the super-d course did include parts of the kamakaize however. The results at the norba national page are much less cryptic than on the usacycling.org page.

Hey Damon, have you been able to find results for your class yet? USA Cycling seems to have omitted a large number of Expert Men's results. How about the professor getting edged out by old man O'Conner?

if you got a particular rider you want their Mammoth result for (and this makes no sense)....go to results and then type a search for their last name. it will list their individual result for Mammoth, but then if you clickon the results link for their race, they're not there.

ProFro snagged 21st Expert Vet...props to the old man.

True Dat! I talked to Profro Friday night and he said the course was pretty tech and fast.

Beeson got greedy for sure.. dual titles.. that's cool for starting racing MTBs

The Venue was cool.

There was a lot of people. I'd say it wasn't as big as the Big Bear national.
There was all the usual vendors set up, a lot of riders cruising around, all the big teams had their tents set up. All around it was a good vibe.

I was not able to race Mammoth due to a hematoma on my leg. I crashed at Northstar 2 weeks ago and got a gnarly dead leg. It was getting better and better, and I was going to race Mammoth. While driving up, a huge hematoma formed on my thigh preventing me from bending my leg. I was pretty bummed. That was the 3rd National that I was at, but had to sit and watch due to injury.

No Hayes either as far as I could find.
Hayes was on the right-hand side of the Giant tent.

I practiced dh on Sat am, then went to race Super D Sat afternoon and found to my horror that my rear brake was leaking fluid at the lever  Someone told me Scott from Hayes was at the Giant tent, so I went, and he had me fixed in a jiffy. Whew!

Had someone not told me, though, I would have been really out of luck.

I switched from Hopes to Hayes earlier in the season for this very reason: race support.

Don't listen to Sanjay, he could have raced. He was just too entertained by backdoor bitches to part with them to practice and race.
