After what was a funny remark on a historic and very needed apperance on late night, President cowers and ass licks the inbred Keenedy-Shriver clan. Talk about Special Olympics, that bunch could hold their own.

After comparing his bowling to the Special Olympics on "The Tonight Show" Thursday, President Obama called Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver to apologize before the program even aired.
Now this would be a show:

Obama told Shriver he wants to have some Special Olympics competitors over to the White House for basketball or bowling.
The awful, disparaging remark?
The president had been making an attempt at self-deprecating humor in his appearance on Jay Leno's show by saying that a recent 129 he scored in the White House bowling alley had been "like Special Olympics, or something."

He and his staff quickly recognized the mistake and moved to limit the damage.
People need to lighten the fvck up.

Agreed, but at the same time it's nice to have a President who admits an error or slip of the tongue.
did he not tell a small white lie on leno?

and if you looked real close you could see the teleprompter under leno's chin.

We have the most open, in terms of communication, President in decades. The downside is that he will make inopportune comments.

If he was not immediately apologetic, then yes there would be a problem. However, if we continue railing upon him, then guess what: no more talks with the American people.

Don't forget, Cheney never spoke out of turn.

After seeing this in the press for the last two days, seems to me the only indignantly offended are non-Special Olympians. The interviews with the bowlers seem to go something like them laughing their asses off at his score and challenging him to bowl them some frames.

Says something to me.
