recently had airline do some damage to my manitou gold label dirt jump series II (2008)... no one seems to have any old stock of the 2008's and manitou stopped making a dirt jumper fork. lame. i think it's a rad fork...

anyway, i have an old manitou black elite 80/100. i don't like it cuz of the terrible mush and bottoming out.... has anyone here ever had success with overhauling one of these with better springs and actually making it work well for jumping ?

Don't know how aggresive you ride, but i will suggest to stay away of the Mani Black idea.
The chassis is too weak, small tanchions QR droputs, weak crown.... well it is a xc fork

Last year jenson had gold labels for 200 something, I bought one, but I felt like I should buy 2 or 3 to have a lifetime supply at that price. . . . .
