Hi there,

I decided that my 05 fork should be a dorado!!

But which one??

A 04 dorado spv 200mm
or a 05 dorado tpc+

Who can tell me more about these forks??

They had a bunch of problems with the SPV Dorado which is why they went back to TPC+.

Stick with the TPC+.

Is it possible to put the tpc+ one to a travel of 200mm because they both use same same "shell"

If you can, find a 2003 regular Dorado. I just got one and love it. The SPV's have had a lot of problems. So far the '03 seems to be the best year for the Dorado.

The 03 and 04 dorados are exactly the same except for the colour. The 03 is red and the 04 is blue.
05 Dorados will have the same TPC+ damping as the earlier models but will have larger 32mm stanchions, and a giant lower crown to increase clamp surface area and increase stiffness.
I believe its the same fork as the 04 MRD Xworks but with good ol TPC+ damping in stead of SPV.

I agree with every one else. I remember when I was asking the same question last year. I'm glad I got an 03'. I heard one guy at Diablo blew up his X-works. Scary! TPC is less maintainance then SPV and no clanking noise in full compression.
