i have a sherman jumper that came with my ironhorse porter, definatly like the way it rides but i was wondering about the adjustments. it has one on top and one on bottom, im guessing rebound and compression, but adjusting them seems to do nothing, doesnt seem to ride any different, is there really any adjustment there? im sure its the same with most forks.

Bottom is rebound, top is compression.

The adjustments don't make an enormous amount of difference, but the difference will be there when riding. You can't tell much from bouncing up and down on the fork in the parking lot, but if I put a ziptie on the leg of my Sherman Firefly, I definitely use less travel during the course of a ride if I crank up the compression.

I can notice a difference in the rebound, but it might be harder to notice on a 3" travel fork.
