manitou swinger 3 way coil question?

Hi people. I just got a liquid with the rear manitou swinger 3 way coil shock on it. Can some one break it down in slow terms for me how to adjust it to my wieght I guess?

I am 5'5'' about 140 lbs. Thanks so much. I just need the air pressure and how to adjust the coil? thanks

I don't know what pressure you'd need in the SPV valve (one way to figure it out is to just start at around 100 and ride it around, see how it feels, go up from there), but to adjust the coil you'll want to grab the spring collar (the one above the spring on the threads) and turn it up or down.
Make sure not to overcompress the spring, though. first, back the spring all the way off, then screw it back down to the point where touching the spring enough to keep the spring from wiggling. From that point, if you need to turn the spring collar more than 2 full turns to achieve decent preload, you need a heavier spring. Given your height and weight, my guess is that the stock spring will be OK for you.
For a trail bike, you'll want to run about 25% sag. Sag is the amount that the shock compresses when you sit on the bike. Easiest way to do this is to either put a ziptie around the shock shaft (the narrower part of the shock), or just have a buddy eyeball it. Or, just play around with it and do what feels comfortable. for the most part, suspension setup is about what feels good to the individual rider.
