I was looking at my stem alignment today on my Super T and I noticed that the wheel is tweaked noticeably when the stem is straight. I also managed to tweak the lowers a bit so that the QR20 safety bolt things don't slide through both slots. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how can you fix it? Or will I just have to ride it the way it is? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Sounds like you bent your lowers. This is fairly common with boxxers, but it will happen with any fork if you hit it hard enough (casing, running into rocks, etc).

If you are lucky, you twisted the stanchions and by loosening the crowns it will go back to normal, but since you can visualy tell that the fork is not aligned with the wheel, it's most likely bent.

Good luck, lowers are usually not cheap.

What he said.

Try loosening all the bolts, all of them, including the axle. Retighten them all to just past finger tight (in the proper order) and check the alignment. If it's still mis-aligned, call marzocchi.

I did this last week. What happens is your stem tweaks sideways taking the upper crown with it flexing the stanctions some, throwing the lowers off. All you got to do is loosen up the stem and they go back to normal. If they don't just wrangle the handlebars until they do.

Well I haven't done anything big on these forks yet and I haven't crashed or cased anything... but I lent my bike to a friend a few weeks ago. Just a coincidence?
Thanks for your help, I'll loosen the bolts and see if it goes away.
