Marin XLT Shock

    Does anyone have any idea what size shock these frames use?

    I have searched and cannot find anything.

    not to sound like a smartass, but have you tried measuring it with a ruler? you'll want the eye to eye - from center to center of each mounting bolt

    no smartassness' taken..

    I got that part,

    But don't I need to know the travel as well.

    I just good at riding the bikes, I've never had to replace a shock before.

    So, I basically have no idea what I am doing...

    sorry for being such an ignorant idiot :banghead:

    Measure A, Measure B

    A is the shock length, B is the stroke length.

    nah no worries. generally, a shock of a certain i2i corresponds with only one stroke length. so find one, you can find the other.

    I was on their site just last night, I think I remember 8.75 x2.75 but I would mesure agian.

    Not always. A 7.785" x 2.25" and 7.785" x 2.0" shock will have the same amount of shaft exposed but a different compressed length.
