i'm looking to change the oil in my 55 rc3 ti fork and was wondering if anyone had instructions on how to do so... any help would be appreciated, thanks!
basically you need to open both ends of the lowers - to do so take the fork of the bike - the front wheel out open the nut on the left leg - then take off the red cap for compression adjust (2 small hex in the holes on the side) - then take it off - hold the golden adjuster with a plier or something but be carefull not to damage the hexagonal shape or you wont be able to use the adjuster anymore- then you can open the nut on the right leg with a wrench!
when putting it all together i found it the easiest to put the fork upside down in the bikestand put a small rope or anything around the golden adjuster hold it up and pour the oil down the lowers of the fork then carefully pull the golden adjuster up while tightening the nut ! - its a bit of a hassle and not the most fun thing! cost me some nerves !!
