Just got a set of Marzocchi 888 RC2X year 2006 forks.

I am in the process of stripping them down , and on the compression side
I cant remove the little red lock nut at the top of the cartridge.

Also i removed the rod's from the middle of each cartridge to clean them,and one is shorter than the other.
Now I have only ever had monster t in which case they are exactly the same length.

So i can remember were the shorter rod goes in the compression or rebound side?

Yeah i know what a fool.

Any help would be great.

Done it , the rod inside the cart's only one will fit the other , also managed to get the red thing loose
