Hey guys,

I need to make my shiver sc a little more progressive. I know that I can add oil to it. Which I have some Golden Spectro 7.5wt oil and figured I'd add the 10% more that I can to get it more progressive.

Now if that doesn't work, and I can't find Golden Spectro in 10wt, will Maxima fork oils be ok? I know Zocchi just re-labels Golden's stuff but I can get Maxima at the local MX shop.

Just curious if it's ok to use or not? I know some forks call for their "own" brand of oil. So I figured I'd ask.

Is the oil in the fork new? If not, then change the oil and fill to what you want. Don't forget to pump out the cartridges.
Not new new, but it maybe has a total of 4 hours of riding on it. I know if I were to start mixing brands I would want to make sure I got all the current oil out before dumping in newer stuff.

I added some to my Shiver DC and it made a world of difference, I think 5CC to each leg. I figured that I would maybe add 3-4cc to each leg in my Shiver SC as right now it's filled to the zocchi recommended oil height but can go up from that. I have heavy springs in it as well (stiffest they make for the SC Shiver) so I'm hoping that the oil height increase fixes my issue.
