No kidding!!! Out of 216 riders to make it down the hill he placed 27th:huh: He started right behind me and came up hard on me before the the first right turn rocky switchback. Luckily my feet had come of the pedals for the 50th or so time so I just pulled over to let him blow by.
he's the KHS rider, kind of has an afro, rides a khs 200 and has that blue/red/yellow khs jersey. cool kid, he whooped it up at clemson as well.

more reason to have qualifying/seeding runs, that dude should've been bumped up to expert.
i think the sport 19-29 1st place guy overheard me talking about the sport 30-39 winner time and he jumped in saying something like, "well some of us can't afford an expert license...and some haven't had enough races yet" (an understandable excuse in the 19-29 but not so kosher for the mid-life crew.)
wow, so i guess it's ok to sandbag as long as you spend money on your matching jersey/pants/helmet combo instead of buying a license

That's funny. Two kids that weigh less than their bikes smoked all but 4 guys on a course known for needing a boatload of horsepower and pedaling fitness!! And Neko just turned 15. The only reason Ethan and him don't blow away is b/c of the death grip they have on their bikes.

Times in the open class were pretty close together, all were around the 4 minute range. If I was 3 tenths of a second faster i would have gone from 7th to 5th. I don't have the fitness to sprint the whole way.
