No - it's just that they could sell a new hub to someone that was already prone to buying boutique without hardly any engineering efforts. I rode an ML7 and dug it. I hear the Maverick forks are flexy in comparison to many other options. Particularly for a 24mm thru axle.

Nah. They rule. They're no dh fork but the 24mm hub helps teh stiffitude. They ARE 3.5lbs with 6" of travel ya know. I've had one for two years. Best xc fork ever.
