The g/f needs a new wheel for what is currently her DH, but likely to be relegated to FR bike fairly soon.

Spotted a nice wee wheel on fleabay, the hub's sound but i dunno about these rims. Being a Mavic i'm guessing it'll do the job nicely, but just wanted to check.

yeah i've still got an old one on the front of my bike (it just refuses to die!), in fact - so does she......

they are totally different, but if it'll do the job for a while then it's all good

I have a 321 on the back of my hardtail thats not treated nicely and it's going fine.

I think the 729 is the new name for the D321 downhill hoop, great rims for big tires.

If You mean D321, it seems really bomb proof.
But, if You'are talking about EN/XM 321, that's tatally different story.
EN/XM is a lightweight (570g) rim for AM which I have been using for 2 years on my recently stolen Glory. They had few dents and I was about to switch them for Dartmoor Raider (local brand).
