Hi I bought a Mavic CrossRide Disc wheelset last year and have noticed the freehub has been getting progressively louder.
I assume it's going to need to be rebuilt/relubed.

I'm wondering if anyone here can provide me with any info on how to do this?
I have maintained other brands of hubs before but not Mavic.

Thanks

It getting louder is a result of the grease being pushed out of the pawl area. I wouldn't even bother if that's your only symptom.
Kinda right but mostly wrong. Mavic free hubs are designed to be easily serviceable and the use mineral oil rather than grease which does get flushed out of the system somewhat quickly. These free hub bodies need to be serviced frequently to prevent wear. Its a fairly easy thing to do yourself but most bike shops only charge $5-$10 to do it. If you ride a lot or ride in crappy weather it should be done about twice a season.
