Fianlly about to order everything I need to complete my 'road' bike. I'm going to build the wheels myself and have settled on either the Open Pros or the Open Sports. The Open Sports are $20 less per rim, pinned, and slightly heavier. I don't really have a problem with pinned rims, but I do want something durable and easy to work with.

Any thoughts?

I don't know about Open Shorts, but I have several thousand miles on Open Pros. I broke a spoke and flat spotted the rim last year. I cut the spokes out and rebuilt it. It came right out with tension. Because of that, I can't say enough good things about Open Pros. I like the DT rims pretty well too, but Open Pros can be had for less cash.

I just built a set of Open Pros, which I pound around the mean streets of San Francisco. The Open Sports remind me of their cheaper 300 series of mtn rims.

SPAM: I have a brand new CXP33 32h silver, $40. Please buy it!
