please excuse the bike related post

ok I want to build up a strong/light wheelset. I am going to use hope hubs. Now i need a rim. I like the XM719's .. but i am looking at the mavic website and it doesnt list any information on their newer rims.

I need them for discs.
I dont need ust but id be fine with them
Lightweight but more strong for aggressive trail riding and my clydesdale size

any suggestions???

I would go with the Mavic 729s. They are pretty light, and will be strong enough...

nothing i guess.. I am just not familiar with them.. i dont know anyone who has been riding them

I've beat the snot out of the F519 / XM719 rims for a few years now. I'd keep using them. I might try the XM819 UST next year. I'm 200 lb ogre on the bike. I've killed 2. Both by asking them to do a little more hucking than they were intended to take (at least under someone my size). Landing this sh!tty photo was the end of one of 'em.
