I just measured mine at 23.6mm. I have the rim brake version, not the disc only version. I don't think there is a difference in width however.

A 2.3 tyre is about all it will take. A 2.5 WTB Mutanoraptor calipered to 2.1 on my X 3.1 . It lifted the front end noticeably. Like a 1/2 inch or more. The mainden voyage on familiar ruts I had the crash of my life. Really f-ed up 9mos later.
