i actually like a few of his movies quite a bit...

raising arizona
valley girl
moonstruck
peggy sue got married
face/off
honeymoon in vegas
wild at heart
red rock west

sure he's done some crap, but who hasn't? at least he's been in a decent amount of above-average flicks, w/ above-average performance in them.

WTF are you talking about? He does the EXACT SAME PERFORMANCE in everything he's ever been in. He just "squints" and and tries to talk in a loud whisper like Marlon Brando...only it isnt memorable in any way. Same character, every time.

I really hope I am just missing the sarcasm in your post surrounding the "face/off" part. One of the worst movies ever, well second worst when compared with Windtalkers.

I thought Face/Off was pretty good. I bought the performance of Cage and Travolta as they were required to be one character at the beginning of the movie -- they're typical role -- then had to act like the other guy.

While I was impressed with the job they did, I have no intention of seeing it a second time.

Leaving lost vegas was good because after seeing it, I started hitting on a girl who looked like elizabeth shue. We dated for 3 years and are still good friends.

In conclusion, nicholas cage is sometimes useful.

If you don't like wild at heart, we should fist fight.

it's not like i am nominating _Face/Off_ to reside in my top 1000 movies of all time list. as LO says, it was a decent movie, certainly as big budget hollywood films go.

oh, and burly...on yr Nick Cage patented acting method, he's no Keanu Reeves...and i forgot a great movie of his. Adaptation.

Those two (Reeves and Cage) should be in a movie together where they just squint at one another until one decides to quit "acting"
