Having been around a fervent obama supporter who talked of him as the second coming of christ/mlk/rfk while I was in Denver last week, and his fvcking followers at the airport, I'm kind of tired of his fvcking face and hearing his voice.

And McCain is not a option.

Conservative, no.

has this been mentioned yet? a rumor (with pics and video) that purports that Palin's 5th child (the one with Downs syndrome) is actually her granddaughter? it's worth going to the link to review the evidence before dismissing it offhand.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/30/121350/137

and, as in the article, and before it's trotted up: it is true that the majority of babies with Downs syndrome are delivered to young mothers. the risk goes up with advanced maternal age, yes, but the majority of cases are in young mothers simply because the vast majority of babies are delivered to young mothers.

Nominating this lying ass skank must be some Republican joke.

Have they become so convinced that they will easily cheat their way into office that they can deliver a huge slap in the face to any American with half a brain ?

Like what? reviving the boogyman hunt in Afghanistan and most recently, publicly posing Russia as a global nuclear threat (derived directly from the horses mouth during his rock concert in Denver) sounds like Zbig talking

I’d waste my vote on Mickey Mouse before I’d throw it away on either one of the fools we call front runners

have you guys seen Idiocracy by any chance?
only the snippets that were on youtube...

more palin news: looks like even her opposition to the "bridge to nowhere" was overplayed: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/johnmccain/2656914/John-McCain-running-mate-Sarah-Palin-misled-Republican-supporters.html

As she introduced herself to Republicans and the American public on Friday, the virtually unknown Mrs Palin said: "I championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. In fact, I told Congress ... 'thanks, but no thanks' on that bridge to nowhere. If our state wanted a bridge, I said we'd build it ourselves."

However it emerged that in a 2006 interview with the Anchorage Daily News during her gubernatorial campaign, Mrs Palin had a different view of the bridge.

Asked "would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?" she replied: "Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now - while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist."

When Congressional funding was withdrawn because of an uproar in Washington about the expense of the project, she cancelled it, but in a regretful tone.

"Despite the work of our congressional delegation, we are about $329 million short of full funding for the bridge project, and it's clear that Congress has little interest in spending any more money on a bridge between Ketchikan and Gravina Island."

Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant according to the McCain spokespeople; quite possibly again.

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/01/palin.daughter/index.html

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) -- Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, is pregnant and will keep the baby and marry the father, a senior aide to Sen. John McCain confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

Republican presidential candidate McCain was aware of Bristol Palin's pregnancy before he chose her mother for his running mate, the aide said.

"Senator McCain knew this and felt in no way did it disqualify her from being vice president," said the aide. "Families have difficulties sometimes, and lucky for her she has a supportive family."

The 17-year-old, a senior in high school, is about five months along, in her second trimester, according to the aide.

Didn't know the other child was supposed to be april. Of course that just makes Gov. Palin's choice of skipping like 3 hospital locations on the way home even more questionable.

I can understand trying to protect your daughter (and your political conservative image). That or the RNC is screwing with the dates on purpose.

Yeah, I did not know the dates were that close either.
She had a baby on what April 18 of this year when she was a governor, and she is now running for VP with what a 4 month old?
I have a 6 week old, and I could not run for a town council spot in a 50 person town right now.

She was at work 3 days later. Still didn't look like she had just had a baby. It didn't the day she gave birth either. Miracle weight loss!

Wow, abstinence based sex education works well...

Palin is absolutely crazy if she got on a plane with a risky pregnancy and leaking amniotic fluid. What a ****ing gong show...

Wow, are you serious?
Yeah, and I'm hardly a conservative. I'm pro-choice, athiest and have no problem with gay marriage (they should be allowed to be miserable too, lol).

She might be a right-wing whacko, but that's less scary than left-wing whackos like Obama who want to tax away people's incentive to work hard and be a success. We don't want to end up like Europe, with its super-high unemployment, national heath care systems that intentionally let people die if their care is going to be at all expensive (yep, it's true) because they're bankrupting the countries, etc.

So fear those of us in the middle, lol.

What's amazing is that Obama might not win, even with 90% of the media solidly in his pocket. Classic example of the media trying to steer public sentiment.

tax away people's incentive to work hard? uh, even with progressive taxes you still make more when you earn more. it's not like "jumping to the next tax bracket" suddenly causes you a net loss in income.

/me will be making decent money one day, and yet supports the liberal ideology. just say no to religious fundamentalism, anti-intellectualism, and misplaced "family values".

Then why do the brightest and most successful people in socialist countries leave in droves (most coming to America)? It's because it's absolute robbery to steal 80% of the fruits of someone's hard work. What right do we have to take it away and give it to someone else?

It's a huge problem for those countries, and liberals are trying to make it that way here. The rich in America already pay nearly all of the total tax burden; everybody else basically gets a free ride.

"Free ride" eh? It doesn't do your argument any good to overstate it to the point of stupidity.

And also, no one is calling for a socialist government here (well, except socialists I guess). You really think the Obamas, Kennedys, Clintons, etc. want to give away their massive wealths? Think about it.

Edit: Hell man, you make it seem like Democrats are some kind of Robin Hood wannabees. No one is saying tax the hell out of the rich and just give out a ton of handouts either. It's about investing in infrastructure and the future. It's pathetic how archaic our education system is in this country, we should be the world leaders there, and in areas like conservation, new energies, etc. Not just propping up a huge military and getting fat all the time.

Funny news from some Alaskan blog.

Gov. Palin's pregnant daughter's myspace page said: "I DONT WANT KIDS!!! Tell the VPC."

Apparently it has since been made private. ouch? Myspace is hilarious for the intarweb dramas.

There is no true socialist country on the planet. What you're describing are capitalist welfare states.

Socialism says nothing about welfare, it merely wants the workforce to control the place of business (basically unionization).
