You think that a select few should have power over many without their consent?Unionization something I will never agree with.

Not only that, but when someone is absolutely terrible at their job, to the point of co workers breaking down in tears, the useless worker usually can't be fired. Most union jobs I have dealt with you get paid based on the job. You do not get paid on how you perform and do the job. Sounds like the wrong way to go about getting quality work from people.
The people that work harder and do more should make more money. Why should the people that have worked hard and are successful be taxed more? I do not want my money taken and given to others who are not working as hard, and there is no reason it should happen.
I have serious doubts as to whether people in the upper tax bracket are there as a result of hard workMost union jobs I have dealt with you get paid based on the job. You do not get paid on how you perform and do the job. Sounds like the wrong way to go about getting quality work from people.

linkie, along w/ "evidence", no longer available; why'd they take it down you think?has this been mentioned yet? a rumor (with pics and video) that purports that Palin's 5th child (the one with Downs syndrome) is actually her granddaughter? it's worth going to the link to review the evidence before dismissing it offhand.

Yeah I love it when a News ( Dailykos are they really ) agency , is so hot to be the first to break a story that they get bamboozled and post bogus info.dailykos is licking their wounds today, & finally doing some vetting of their own stories, which is good to see. light being the best antiseptic & all
In 1959 Dunham's parents moved to Hawaii to pursue further business opportunities in the new state. She soon enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she studied anthropology. There she met Barack Obama, Sr., a graduate student from Kenya and the school's first African student, in a Russian class.[2] When they became engaged, both sets of parents opposed the marriage, with Barack, Sr.'s father in particular objecting. Nevertheless, the couple married on February 2, 1961 in Maui, Hawaii.[6][1]maybe it's just me, but it seems the left loathes an underaged pregnant girl who won't get an abortion. and wasn't obama's mom pregnant & unwed w/ him when she was 17 also?
nothing to see here...
Oh I dont think that's the case. Im not "the left" but I think it has more to do with the irony of the whole "family values" platform, as they're being touted in the face of obvious fail.maybe it's just me, but it seems the left loathes an underaged pregnant girl who won't get an abortion. and wasn't obama's mom pregnant & unwed w/ him when she was 17 also?

so back-of-the-napkin math tells me she got pregnant when she was 17, assuming a normal length pregnancy; In 1959 Dunham's parents moved to Hawaii to pursue further business opportunities in the new state. On August 4, 1961, at age 18, she gave birth to her first child whom she named Barack Hussein Obama II.
and i guess the spin will be that right-to-life is the main thrust of family values, and the fact that sarah & juno didn't abort when they were the #1 & #2 reasons to abort demonstrates their commitment.Oh I dont think that's the case. Yeah, BS.I can't remember where I read it but both parties have agreed not to use this as political fodder.
and bush never called into question kerry's vietnam swift boat experience...I can't remember where I read it but both parties have agreed not to use this as political fodder.
I'm predicting:I can't wait to see what Kind of Spin The Onion puts on this .
jon stewart's & stephen colbert's sponsors beg to differLook once every 150 years the truth is funnier than any **** we could make up.
When Barack was born, you were a prostitute if you were an unwed mother.so back-of-the-napkin math tells me she got pregnant when she was 17, assuming a normal length pregnancy;
ed: otherwise it would be 8 months, 1 week if impregnated on her 18th b-day. of course, this is irrelevant, just curious how it will be packaged by the obama campaign. if they play their cards right, they're done speaking on this

just you wait: by friday you'll be hearing about the 2nd coming of the Virgin Bristol. i'm buying an 8-slice toaster & going through loaves just to try & get the right silhouetted image to put on ebay
Exactly.P.S. I don't care about Palin's daughter's sexual habits
I guess you're right, only 80% of millionaires in America are self-made:I have serious doubts as to whether people in the upper tax bracket are there as a result of hard work
It was a natural gas pipeline that she wanted to run through Alaska, not oil. They already have that one that subsidizes everyone in Alaska.
McCain pulled out of a Larry King interview, because of "tough line of questioning" by Campbell Brown with Tucker last night.
BWAHAHA. LARRY KING. The softest interview in all of cable news.
Not exactly Jim Grey asking Pete Rose about gambling in front of a entire stadium of fans...
Actually, state governors act only in name as CinC of NG units in their state. They are OpOrd and answer to State Adjutant General of the NG.NG units deployed overseas are no longer under the command of the state governer...if they were, none of them would be left overseas.
He actually deserves most of his 'hero' cred for refusing early release from prison camp due to the fact his father was an Admiral. That and the leadership he displayed as senior ranking member of his prisoner unit.McCains greatest military accomplishment was being shot down over Hanoi. If not for that, he would be working at WalMart today.
Both really good points that I agree with. On the second one though, I have a hard time understanding how that makes you fit to be president. A 4* general, yes. Secretary of Defense, yes. But the result has been a man that understands only military action as a solution to international problems, and understands only ethics when it comes to domestic problems. Both are fantastic skills and qualities, but I sure as hell don't want someone who doesn't understand diplomacy or economics at the top of the heap when a recession and foreign wars are our two biggest near-term problems right now (followed by education and environment as our major long-term problems, IMO). He's a specialist, and should be in a specialized position.Actually, state governors act only in name as CinC of NG units in their state. No doubt. Wasn't using that for an endorsement, just making the point that the respect he deserves for being a POW isn't a punctuation of the fact he got shot down and that in itself is a failure. He endured a lot of pain and suffering for 5 years and I respect him for that. Both really good points that I agree with.
