Staunch pro-government Iranian lawmakers on Tuesday called for Iranian opposition leaders to be tried and put to death, according to the Associated Press. More than 220 lawmakers issued a statement saying that opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi and former reformist President Mohammad Khatami should be held responsible for the current antigovernment uprising.

i don't think Iran is among the top 10 countries, by volume, that we get our oil from.

The big difference with Iran and Egypt is their betters.

Egypt depends on us for aid, and whether they would admit or not, we have a huge influence on their politics.

Um... do we even get any of our oil from the middle east? I heard that most of it comes from Canada. We are just "there" to ensure that supply remains up so that our Canadian oil doesn't become too expensive.
