I saw it -- I was wondering how people perceived it. I.e. do the people who dislike Bush -- did they dislike the interview (and why?), and do the people who like Bush think the interview went well (and why?).

i liked it when he cornered bush about the "not getting involved in nation building" quote. Bush replyed with something along the lines of " dont try any of that Washington type half story stuff" or something like that.

I liked the interview. Russert didn't play all nicey nice with GW. My 2 favorite moments were the question about the war being worth the sacrifice of 500+ American lives and the question Tim asked about Dubya's feeling about being so polarizing.

Dubya seemed awkward and unsure of what to say about the lives lost in the Iraqi campaign. He danced around the question and then finally said yes, it was worh the sacrifice.

In answering the polarizing question, Dubya seemed solid in his confusion about his polarizing effect on this country. He alluded to the fact that as Governor, he was able to bring everyone in Texas together and that once in DC, he found it different somehow than Texas. Well duh! He went on to say his lack of partisinship skills was his greatest disappontment of his presidency.

All in all, I think Dubya came off as I expected. Nothing new that would change my opinion of him.

I was confused by this answer. Mostly because I don't think it's the best answer to this question i.e. this question isn't completely in left field, so they could've prepared an answer for it. However, I don't see why saying, yes, I have polarized people would be the answer you'd choose. I would think a better answer might have been, well after 9/11 I was able to pull the country together and we were all able to put partisanship aside for what's best for the country. (and possibly he could continue saying he trying to bridge the gaps to complete an agenda that is best for the US and his top priority and he's working with everyone to do so).
