I haven't made plans yet!

I do have invite to go camping with a bunch of non bikers, not sure if that is really what I want to do or not (I definitely need to get some riding/training in so my arse wouldnt be completely kicked at the 24 hour race)

I would like to go to plattekill but i think everyone will be at Mt. Creek for the US open

suggestions?

ideas?

invites?

I would heartily recommend Fruita. The weather is going to be stellar. I would recommend doing 100 miles of singletrack in a day. That'll be good "training", no? :D

how long of a drive is it to Fuita from albnay, ny ?

100 miles of ss > doug=:dead:

The magic 8-ball says...................:

Total Est. Distance: 2056.23 miles

And I said 100 miles of singleTRACK, not singleSPEED. Good God, man, bring a geared bike or you'll be bummed.

Awwww... come on. Even Mapquest says:

Total Est. Time: 31 hours, 9 minutes

And we know you can shave about 15-20% right off that for haulin' a little arse. So you're lookin at an easy 24-hour drive. Remember - it'll be an adventure...... ever been? Here's a tease:

Douglas - I say do some riding this weekend.

That is what I hope to do.

Or would you be into a drive down to MT. Creek??

We could caravan in the Windstar.

:)

Ok, now we getting to a reasonable drive!!

BUT (Avon to Albany) or (Albany to Avon) then to Mt. creek would add make a 2.5 hour trip 4.5 hours

I actually was thinking of going to Plattekill to ride all day there, then camping somewhere, then driving to Mt Creek the next morning to check out the race (& hopefully ride some more)

I have always wanted to go this, but they have it on Memorial weekend, when I'm out of town. :( The trails are supposed to be sweet. They should have a nice loop setup, and you can definitely hook up and ride with some others. The NEMBA people are all prety cool.

that looks

any other :monkey: 's going?? MMcG??
