Actually, the issue was on three different news medias, each with their own agenda, conservative, liberal, and moderate. In all three, the discussion was on the use of Merry Christmas, and the common thread was many people felt their usage of it brought with it negative responses, and in a couple of instances, physical violence.
Happy holidays, happy whatever, I found it fascinating that phasing out the phrase was way over toward the left. Judging by the response here, it is a serious enough point of contention enough to be personally attacked.
That being said, while the topic was to see other opinions, I certainly didn't help the discussion much antagonizing others.
Its interesting however to see the race card was brought out which has no relevance whatsoever to the issue. This was also brought on by my saying Merry Christmas and having someone correct me for doing so. The name calling and insults was a nice touch, which further proved my point.
So, with all that being said, Merry Christmas.

You've exercised poor judgment in differentiating between an issue and sensationalism. You pretended this was affecting your life in your first post. It's not. Your failure to produce a personal anecdote aids this assumption.

I must have a subconscious predisposition to give you the benefit of the doubt. Because I have a really hard time believing you're so obtuse that you honestly think people are upset about the topic and not your attempt to validate it. There's a BIG difference.
