So Clinton won for the Democrats on a FUBAR ballot (not sure it matters since the Democratic party has stated that they will not seat Michigan's delegates anyhow).

On the Republican side, it was Romney, McCain, Huckabee and Paul. Yes, Paul finished 4th, beating Thompson and Giuliani. What's my take on this? Economically destitute MI residents believed Romney's lies that he would fight to save their jobs and bristled at McCain's honesty that their jobs are gone forever. While both of these candidates believe that retraining is needed, Romney carried his message in a kinder and gentler manner.

As we can see from the Republican Exit Poll, his MI roots helped too.

Also, in reviewing the Republican Exit polls, it appears 62% approve of the Iraq war. In hearing this I am reminded of some great wisdom I read on this very website:
