So would the Eddie Roman trilogy, (Aggroman, Head First, Ride On) be considered old or mid, or is the Eulogy for BMX from Ride On the dividing line?

yep ! :thumb: i would say that if we're gonna pick a dividing line between "old school" and "mid" that's a damn good one.

like sometimes in history people draw dividing lines between eras only in retrospect--but that was an example of Eddie Roman (and a lot of other people) looking around and recognizing history right then. death of old school birth of something new. they even acted it out.

Nice to see some flatland on a 24". Just more evidence to me that 24" is the way to go for my next bike. My 700c commuter is not happy with casual flatland at the bus stop; I'm bound to fold a rim soon.

August 1995 issue of RideBMX. I still have an Austin-made '95 Mack. It was a 20.5"tt, and I actually started riding it for flatland after I got the PornStar for everything else. Yours truly circa 1997/8:

I stopped riding Bmx in 1986 and came back in 2010. Since I've come back I've tried a bunch of different bikes from old school, midschool and the modern era. And although the new stuff has ultimately turned out to be my favorite (which is why I'm coming here but recognize some guys screen names from the museum forum) my midschool FBM angel of death is right up there as far as bikes I enjoy the most.

Rad pictures. Thanks!
