Short and sweet. I might have to move to LA, I lived in OC for 5 years, worked all over SoCal, and might have to return. I don't need specifics, I'm good at hunting out trails, but I have the slightest ideas where to live that's "nearby" LA trails.

I was planning on living somewhere in the La Crescenta Valley assuming that there is trails off of Mt Wilson, etc. I hike and bike, so shuttle trails are not neccesary.

Please PM if you don't even want to post "general areas" on the board. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know I'm not going to have anything like I have in Santa Cruz, but I'm optimistic.

LA has everything, and someday a mountain with a bike park (baldy). There is really fun stuff on Wilson. The shuttle is about 30min up Angeles Crest HWY. The ride down can be up to 17 miles (depending on which trails you take) of fast, flowy single track and some rocky fire roads.
