some how i seriously doubt he was NOT cognizant of these activities

The investigation into activities at a palatial home owned by NFL quarterback Michael Vick deepened Thursday after investigators found substantial evidence that several dogs kept on the property were being used for fighting.

Animal control officer told WAVY News that they found 70 dogs on the property. Most of the animals are pitbulls. Some had injuries and scars. Many were malnourished.

Amidst the evidence found was something called a "rape stand"; a device used to tether a female dog so male dogs can have easy access to the female for breeding.

A State Police spokesperson confirmed that the department was working with a regional drug task force. They searched the property looking for evidence and a person. The spokesperson would not tell WAVY News what the evidence is that they were searching for or who the person is.

Cognizant or not, he owns the home, and he's letting a family member stay there. If he's been there at all, he had to have known that there were 70 dogs running around.

Normally, I'd make a joke about the nephew and the rape stand, but I just don't have the heart today...

appropriate jokes aside, i hope that this can be recognized as the monumentally repugnant behavior that it is. i hope, after due process of course (sic) that they nail this f'ing thug to the wall and strip him of every means of monetary gain he ever had. i can only assume the NAN and Rainbow Coalition are going to come to his defense..

Something that also needs to be looked at: The whole pitbull/dogfighting scene is glamorized by rappers, actors, and sports stars (I was at the Laurel Canyon dog park last week, and the the number of wigger nimrods with pitbulls was staggering. Most of them had training collars on inside the dog park, and most of those were fitted incorrectly) and it's about time someone got smacked really hard for it.

Hopefully, this is the first.

I highly doubt Vick himself gets into any trouble for this. I mean he does own the land, but with all his money/lawyers and the fact that he lives 100s of miles away...he's going to get off as usual.
I personally hate Ron Mexico and would love nothing more than to see his ass lose some of the money he never earned over this.

What a lazy bastard. Qyntel Woods was able to raise fighting dogs during the regular NBA season. Sheesh, some athletes are just plain slacking.

christ i want this fvcker to burn

An 18 page Federal Indictment reveals for the first time graphic details about the NFL star's alleged involvement in a dog fighting ring.

It says Vick, known as "Ookie", and his 3 co-defendants known as P-Funk, Q, and T began a dog fighting ring known as "Bad Newz Kennels" at Vick's Surry County property and that it began six years ago.

This case began to unravel 3 months ago when police seized nearly 70 pit bulls from Vick's property, along with elaborate equipment.

At one point the Indictment alleges: "Michael Vick and Purnell Peace consulted, then Peace executed their losing dog by wetting him down with water and electrocuting him."

It also says one day "Vick, Peace and Phillips executed about eight dogs that did not perform well."

It then goes on to say that the defendants used different methods of killing the dogs including hanging, drowning, shooting, electrocuting and slamming one dog to the ground.

Federal Prosecutors say that several states are connected to this alleged dog fighting operation. They're all up and down the east coast and beyond.

The Feds say the defendants would spend thousands of dollars buying dogs. And bet thousands of dollars on each fight.

The Indictment alleges "Vick lost $23,000 on just one fight."

If convicted, Vick could go to prison.

Thank God for Mexico's 10 G donation to the families of the Vtech shooting. He was kind and gracious to open up his wallet. We need more people like him.
