I'm currently running Minion DHF 2.5s front and rear and I'm not getting enough braking traction out of the rear. I'm choosing between a DHR and a High Roller to replace it. Conditions where I ride are loose over hardpack to loose, and I prefer tires that can lean WAY over. Which one holds an edge better?

Also, I tried a set of Hutchinson Barracudas 2.3 med comp single ply tires on my trail bike a while back and loved how they leaned over. I've seen some people complaining about squirm on hardpack with the softer compound DH tires; for those people that have run into the squirm issues what rim/tire size/compound are you running? I had no such issues with the 2.3's on Rhyno Lite XLs however the compound was harder and the profile on the Rhynos was pretty square.

Highroller! Pretty much my most favorite tire ever.

For Norcal I'd go with a highroller.

highrollers are awesome. The downside is they wear faster than a DHF.
And they slip going up but sometimes that is a worthy trade-off
