Thanks for the welcomes. It's actually -24C here now too. I haven't done much riding at these temperatures for a few years now, but as I remember the rolling friction at those temperatures was a big killer.

Dan

Awesome filming. I saw someone throw water up in the air while the camera stayed on the dude. What happened to the water?

On a side note, it gets that temperature here too, bloody cold...

Cool video. A place that gets that cold is too much for me to choose to live in though. How much of the year is it less than -5C?

FYI,
Google this term "-34C to Fahrenheit" and it converts for you. Otherwise, you'd have to think back to grade nine algebra and solve for y=mx + b given you know that water boils at sea level at (100C,212F) and freezes at (0C, 32F). The equation then becomes y = 1.8x + 32 where x is degrees Celsius and y is degrees Fahrenheit. Not a bad application for grade nine algebra - who ever thought that math would be that useful!

After -30 everything is cold and at -40 Celsius and Fahrenheit are the same. I always disbelieved the you'll freeze your lunges warning when it gets that cold, but I now either run on the treadmill inside or wear a tub scarf and go slow if I exercise outdoors at these temperatures. Anyone with any breathing issues or otherwise should be careful when it's super cold.

Dan
