We had a frat do something like this MLK day 2006. They posted their pics on Facebook. Long story short their charter was revoked and their house was closed. I imagine that the same thing will happen to these guys.

I think it boils down to people being thin-skinned about issues that concern themselves (or group) and thick-skinned about issues that concern everyone else outside of their group/experience/what have you.
