Hey Mark & all of you fans of green ano -
I was in the shop yesterday and I picked up a new headset.
It's a DK MPH - yeah, DK is a BMX company, and the top-cap is kind of cheezy looking - but the headset is sealed, has nice angular contact bearings, and weighs 112g.....oh, and it comes in GREEN!
Comes in gold too for you bling types.

Anyway, how bad could it be for $30...
It makes a nice early St. Pattys day gift for me.

Not sure yet - I think the Monkey. The headset there is a POS - the top & bottom cups don't even match.
Then again, green on a gold bike.....

No purple, as far as I know....

I was thinking the same thing! I don't understand that big part just below the top cap - why does it need to be so damned tall?

Those happen to be the "talls", they come in "short" too.

I have one of these in black on my XC bike. Full ball in the lower race, and angular contact in the upper. Not a bad headset at all! You won't notice the height, I didn't.

i've got one of those dk headsets on my weyless-67. nice set. ah, yeah, i picked up the gold one..... seems to be a very nice part, especially for how cheap it comes. we'll see how it lasts in the long run.

FWIW, the top part of a cane creek something or other fits just right over the top bearings. lowers the stack height a bit, though it covers over some of the top cup gold bling....
