He wore the pink jersey last year for a day in the Giro. Won the tour of Austria last year. BUT he keeps breaking his collarbone which short circuits his seasons just about every year.
His performance in the tour is certainly shows that he is capable of grand tour success. I do believe that he needs to get away from Davitamon to fully reach his potential. That team is built for sprinters and the classics and I don't see that changing.
