Hello all,

I usually post on the DH forum, but it's looking like I'll be picking up a sweet Blk Mrkt MoB frame pretty soon, so maybe I'll be hanging out here often too.

Anyway, I've searched the web and I can't find a damned seat post diameter spec for this frame anywhere... anyone out there got an answer on this one?

I'm thinking of building it up SS with a 4" fork (but what fork? I'm thinking Reba or Pike with U-turn). I'll post pics once it's built.

If anyone has any tips on comments on how I should build up this frame I'm open to suggestions as I'm new to this type of hardtail.

Cheers,
Jon.

I would run BMX drivetrain bits if you can (chainring, chain, and sprocket). Nice and beefy.

I would go for a Pike, or if you want a QR fork, a Marzocchi MX Comp. So cheap. So good. Run an Oddesy Linear Slic cable w/ Avid brakes.

Seatpost size is a 27.0. I would take a look at the Manitou Gold Label, really simple, strong, stiff, and not all that heavy. Mine is a little stiff, but works well, and there is nothing to go wrong with it. My MOB is awesome though, really fun bike.

please dun run it at 24 " 26 is nicer. and running at low travel is better like gold label 80mm.. and fox float 80mm.. both have friend have tested it.. 100mm is kinda weird

Thank you.

I'm thinking BMX parts, firstly as they're cheap! I'll take a look at the MX fork, I hadn't considered it. I think it'll end up with some Avid BB7's fitted as I can get a really good deal on them right now. Okay I'll post pics once it's built.

my buddy has a mob with a pike and it rides pretty sweet. I also have a pike, and love it (no mob for me though). I would definitely recommend a 20mm through axle though, much stiffer and more confidence inspiring
