Working from home this morning because my lady is not feeling well after getting her Gallbladder out last week. She has a followup appointment this morning so I am going to take her to that.

That being said. I was going through my old photos and realized I can finally share the pictures from when I was in Taiwan back in May for the Stumpy 15 Alloy pilot production. Enjoy

Elixirs? I hate those things
No. Curt Mangan. I bought from them because they had piccolo 5 string sets. I accidentally snapped the highest string because I was an idiot and tried to go an extra octave up. The good news is that I planned to try the piccolo on my short scale 4 string too so I can still swap them over this week. I loaded up that 5 string with an EADGC set I also got from Curt but I’m not impressed. I think I’ll go to DR Lo Riders because the bass builder likes them and I’ve had good luck with DR in the past.

Also, I’m really quite happy with my newest bass and it has exposed core strings. I’ve never tried those before so but I’m sure they’re part of what I like. I might need to get a set of them for other basses in my collection.

my interest is PEAKed

no but seriously how do you get there? looks like you can't even drive close.
we parked on Adirondack Road and hiked to the trailhead at Adirondack Loj. It was about 2 miles or so?The parking lot there was full, and cars were parked along the road that whole distance (and even farther). The trail starts at ADK Loj. It's 2.2 miles to Marcy Dam. I had to stop my watch when we returned to Marcy Dam caus' it was running out of batteries and I was worried it wouldn't save what we had already hiked. We exited via the "truck trail" and South Meadows rd.

Here's a screenshot of the whole loop from Strava:

Got a new taint slapper and decided to install it today on mah Spitty. Discovered that they put blue loctite on the seat rail clamp bolts. Why, why would you do that ? Soaking in Acetone. Grrrr

First day on the new jurb. 100% of my team is in a different office but in a few months I will need to work from office 5/5 days so that will be weird. Generally I've never started at a company with no one from my team locally so that's a weird AF experience. Still seems like a fairly organized place so I doubt this will feel weird for long

Acetone won’t remove the loctite. Tried burning it off with no success. Don’t have any paint stripper. Could use the old bolts but I’m pretty sure they’re from the 90s. A bit too old. Doesn’t look like a ride is happening today.

Did a big hike in the Adirondacks with my family on Saturday (about 18 miles and 3280' elevation, over 12.5 hours - we climbed Mt Colden). Legs are still feeling it. At work and google photos is blocked, so I'll add photos later. It was a glorious day, and I'm pretty impressed that the kids made it all the way with a smile on their faces. It was actually one of the best family trips we've ever had. 10/10 would do it again. if my kids are up for it...

easy day on the ambulance. We had a cranky old man for a hospital discharge. he was screaming at everyone to hurry up and get him the hell out of there. it was comical. Then we were waiting for our dialysis patient and sitting in the lobby and this old lady in a wheelchair had this crazy commentary stream of consciousness going that had us busting up. good times
