Good Morning!

Man am I ever sore this morning.....we spent lots of hours yesterday at Nice Guy Mike's shaping, digging and riding the jumps. It was a beautiful day, and the line was fast as Kirstie Allie on a jelly doughnut.

The weekend itself was pretty tame. I painted our foyer and hallway for what seemed like endless hours Friday evening and all of Saturday. If I see one more piece of blue painters tape........:banghead:

Looks like another slow beginning to the week here at work.....I hope business picks up soon.....

morning G-hound...

well, I survided another trip to Ray's with only a minor bruise where the tip of my seat impaled the crease between my but cheek and leg, only to fall down an icy set of steps chasing after my dog this morning...:disgust1: I was all dressed for work and ready to leave and the dog wouldn't come back so I went up to look for her 5 or so minutes later she came busting out of the woods. On my way back down the back steps I slipped on the snow and ice and went for a gadunkadunk ride down... :disgust1: I have a couple a real nice bruises now and I think I need to see my chiro now. :monkey:

I digress...
Clay aka Skatetokil here on the board met up with me at my place and we trekked up to Ray's where we saw some other familiar faces like Victor from Trailblazer's and a few other non-monkey friends! :thumb:

I am going to see if I can find some advil now.:disgust:

Good morning! Wife and I had a great day of skiing Saturday. Mt Snow was pretty damn crowded though. I spent the better part of yesterday at the office. I've got a lot of work I need to square away before heading off on vacation Friday.

You've been off the skiis for a few weekends, right? Even though you guys ski a lot, do you still get sore after a hiatus like that?

I went 21 days between ski days. My legs get tired a little quicker after a layoff like that, but we still skied for six hours. The only soreness I feel the next day are the sides of my shins from the ski boots. My legs catch up to ski season much faster than they catch up to MTB season.

Morning. Decent weekend. Nice little impromptu meeting with the DH team at the LBS on Sat.. Got some tires mounted, talked bikes, discussed a team trip to a race in VA. in May. Went to the movies yesterday afternoon with the wife and daughter and then over to my mom's house for dinner. :) That's about it...

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning all. Nice weekend at home for us. Sq-Earl & I went to the dinner theater on Friday night to see Sweeney Todd & have a tasty burger while my brother & his wife took Syd (it was their first time babysitting her all by themselves). Saturday I ran some errands with Syd and then relaxed after a little ride on the trainer. Sunday we played outside in the snow and rode the snowmobiles around a little before a big family dinner for my sister's boyfriend's birthday.

Today I have an appointment with the specialist to look at my shoulder and then some lessons at home. The fun never ends here huh?

Morning - I'm home until 1 with a sick little one (1st cold, how exciting!). As Tigg said, impromptu team meeting/parts payout on Saturday, rode my SS yesterday doing my interval "program". Let me tell ya - doing pyramid sprints in a flat lot standing up from a dead stop is SOOO much different from doing it on my trainer sitting down...I was whooped!

excellent weekend. spent most of it in NYC; headed down friday via train to see H8R's band (excellent show; they got a great write up in NY TImes for thursday's show), ended up staying sat night too as a performer i'd not seen in 15 years was playing (Loren Connors). hit MoMA, did a ton of walking, took loads of photos, all in all a great time.

Morning!

I had a fantastic weekend of doing absolutely nothing on Saturday, besides grocery shopping, and beating the heck out of myself yesterday xc skiing. I really tweaked my right shoulder in a most ungraceful nosedive. Conditions were a little rough, as there isn't much snow out there, but we made the best of it.

Lots of snow this weekend and I had as much fun as usual skiing. It's supposed to snow all week too.

Have a great day!

2 rides with Splat over the weekend, some MTB videos on Sat night with the gang and lots of NHL and AHL All Star action. Great weekend, I need more like that.

Ugh...I'm getting sick.

But the weekend was FVCKING AWESOME. Probably the best shows we've ever played in NYC.

Didn't meet up w/ narlus, that was a bummer. Looked for him, realized I had no idea what he looked like. I didn't want to shoulder tap every Canon user in the crowd.
:D

narlus, meet us in Seattle in a couple weeks. I'll buy you lunch.

I did meet Max Weinberg, which was rad. His son is a drummer in a metal band and came to see the show, so he came with him. He saw us the first night, I met him on the second. Totally cool person.

Hope everyone is well and good. Even though I'm sick I'm in a fine mood.

And then it was the tempos, always slightly slower than one might expect in this context. In “Water Is Not Enough,” a new song, H8R found his weirdly wakeful crawl, hitting the loosened hi-hat cymbals and letting them rattle together, and otherwise going curiously easy on his cymbals for a song intimating Armageddon.
:monkeydance:

i'll have an NYC thread up at some point. what a great weekend.

G Morning y'all.
I'm pretty sore today. I stacked practicing the the Fontana DH race on Sat. I raced Sunday, but just hurt too bad to pin it. Still had fun though!

Should have been to Friday’s. No attractive girls. And Neurosis had a larger crowd than Mastodon.
i would agree. certainly no specimens such as depicted in photo #2.

i saw valient thorr last year opening for fu manchu. those guys are funny. in ways which can be debated.

Had an awesome weekend. Rode the "Headwaters Challenge" put on by OORC in northern Arkansas. Did the whole 35 miles and I'm dog tired.

Sorry, I'm Canadian ..sorry...
Same temp here...but luckily, it's windy as hell.

Are you temporarily up there or all permanent like? Ever ride around these parts?

Permanent. Born and raised you could say. I've been to C.O.P. a few times. Bragg creek a couple of times. That sketchy trail in Bowness (Ned's?). I hope to get out of here soon and make my way down towards Calgary. My folks live in Cochrane, Uncle in Bowness rides a lot (Crazy trans-rockies ridin mo'fo.), I'd like to be close to hook up with him more often.
