Only if I am doing something right. I am trying to find some damn specs on this engine but I don't know what the year is since there are no legible serial numbers. Some guys with older 200's (85-90) talk about doing 7k WOT while others say you shouldn't go over 6k. I've only gotten it up to about 4k and had no idea what the jack plate was for :rofl:

The boat is an '87 and the engine looks like the same vintage. Everybody says 55-60mph at WOT is what expected with the current prop, but I don't know what the MAX RPM is. I want to see what it'll do on an open stretch. The tach says 7k with a 6k redline.

thanks. i never realized what an a-hole recovery would make me. all my other feedback sources have been people who knew me before my injury, so they all gave me lots of credit and passes, or didn't even see it. the girl only knew me post injury, and the more i recovered the bigger jerk i became.
