3" of messy snow this morning. Spent the weekend freshening up the kitchen all so we can sell the house in a month. Ughhhh.... It sucks waiting to do all this work just to sell the house.

~9" of snow on the ground and zero freedums for the outside temperature.

There will be no activity outside today.

Morning! New snow here today too. Gymnastics meet and family birthday celebrations over the weekend. Final week of rehearsals for our school musical this week so not much of a vacation but hopefully some time to play in the snow with the kids.

Stopped by mom-in-law's condo on my way into work this morning to clean the fresh snow off her car. When I finished I realized I did the wrong car. So then I did her actual car. Bunch of fucking bullshit.

Hello all. No work for me today as I worked this weekend. I think Thai food may be in order this evening and possibly lunch.

Went skiing yesterday with the wifey and mini-me. We got 3-4" of fresh snow this morning which made my commute to work a little slower. At least the kids are off this week from school so the traffic wasn't too bad.

Wooo holiday.

Bike shifting question.... Replaced the cassette on the lady friends fat bike yesterday, but can't get it to shift correctly; I can either get the top half to shift perfect or the bottom half, but not both.

Bent hanger? Everything looks fine and the drivetrain itself had very little wear on it. Went to a Sunrace 11-42 cassette on Shimano drive train.

Check the hanger first before you do anything else.

Despite record profits we were warned earlier this year than annual raises on average we're going to be less than inflation. Mine turned out to be reasonable, good for a dentist bike pre-tax.

Sure its the correct cassette? Last time I replaced a derailleur I had this exeact problem. I got sold a 9 speed derailleur in a 10 speed box. Took hours and 3 sets of eyes to finally figure out why it wouldn't shift correctly.

Good Morning!!

It's surprisingly sunny out there today...we're going to be fully washed by the end of this week with about 3-5" of rain for our area in the forecast. Went to see the new LEGO movie with my son yesterday. He ate too much popcorn and barfed in the parking lot. Cherish the memories, I say....

Luckily its ten speed, which allows me to count on my fingers. Had it been 11 or 12, I'd have been screwed. :busted:

But can confirm it was the hanger. Took the derailleur off and eyeballed it back straight with a wrench. Shifts 98% moar betters now.

Will probably leave the clutch on the derailleur off, as I'm guessing it'll bend back on the first shift under load?

that's some funny isht right there! beyond the hanger, I'd also look at the derailleur itself. and cable tension. I found SRAM derailleurs need the cable tension to be set up properly before anything else works correctly. somehow they are muck more finicky that Shimano derailleurs (either that or I just have way more time/experience setting up Shimano).

Family Day here. So my kids aren't in school and there are no day-camps available. My wife took the day off, and they went to Winterlude this morning. Today is the last day. They got there before the facility opened, and managed to get "first tracks" on the inner-tube ice course!

My office is right behind those buildings, so I did one run with them before going in to work. They will be going to see the new Lego movie this afternoon.

No work today... water proofed a big tent yesterday that will be used in may for a weeklong festival camping trip. Got it from goodwill for $30. Only thing missing was the lights that were supposed to come with it, guy lines and stakes. Bought new solar lights from big lots to replace the missing lights, stakes would have been replaced anyway, and guys lines are easy to replace.
Bike mag seriously needs to upgrade its file uploader. Using 3rd party sites is annoying.

Back from long weekend of skiing. Nobody got hurt, which was of concern as Wifey hasn't skied in three years and isn't a great skier anyways. Haley upped her game and is now solidly blue, though I probably could have taken her down black if it wasn't a busy weekend. She had her first real powder day and first powder run through the trees where she picks her own line. It's all on the Stoney98 YouTube channel for those interested.

Otherwise, errands today then team introduction meeting with the Products team tomorrow morning:cheers:.

I have serious FTS going on. Not the typical whiney GMT FTS, but real fundamental FTS.
I could take you out to a late Thai lunch and you could drive the Tesla... that might help? :D (at Tesla service center now)

Only that it's there. I have ridden a MTB there once at the start of a long journey.
LOL! Ok cool. I'm heading up there on Thursday. I was wondering if there is any places worth visiting for dinner or beer. Looks like I asked the wrong guy though. :)

Medically speaking, alcohol slows bone regrowth. As does caffeine.
