Good morning world. I spend big part of my weekend digging a hole. We are really close to the ocean and when I got 3ft down I hit the beach with sand only so I can now claim I live on the beach

GoT was disappointing plus trails may be too wet—must investigate a bit.

On the upside I’m not working today unless someone calls in sick.

Morning Monkeys.

Got a frantic call from a co-worker in STL about how to deal with our "lead" who is a hot mess. I told him I had brought it up to both managers in the past and felt it fell on deaf ears. A temp bitching about a 12+ year employee.

But there have been others and now another manager has noticed a lack of contribution but noticed the stress she has put this kid under. So I checked in with my manager and his comment was "I thought things had gotten better?" To which I replied "No, I've just been dealing".

So this afternoon is a 3 manager powwow and we will see if anything comes out of it. My money is on nothing.

Also, saffron rice is not only amazing when warm and fresh, it is also amazing as cold leftovers. I won't even mention the lamb as a courtesy.

I've always assumed this is why @Serial Midget chose to live near the Berkeley Pit.
The beauty of the Pit is that the acid destroys the evidence, so no need to dig (or so I've heard...)

Yeah, shit. It's been quite a while since he logged on. Hey @Montana rider, you hear from the Midge lately?
Yes, the @Serial Midget is doing "fine."

He's slinging glass figurines and other such collectible baubbles on the internet to subsidize his fun-tirement.

He had a shitty fall last year, including: a literal concussion from a fall on a ride the night before he was to meet rideit and myself for the Beartooth plateau epic high country shuttle

Then he had some necrophiliatic spider bite from a not quite episode of American Pickers which wasn't MRSA but took a few months of ABX to recover from.

And then he was down to SLC for some elective surgery for which he paid out of pocket and got some sweet, sweet opiates...

Lastly he needs to replace the "membrane" on his flat roof commercial space in the Falls of Greatness.

If I recall correctly his OOP //////expenses on the roof will be 3 new crabon bikes-worth (boo...)

I've been breaking his balls about abandoning the poo-fest here and he claims it's not us, it's him ;) and he'll resurface when he's biking more.

TLDR: we've been meeting weekly for early season rides, he had a shitty tail end of 2018 and it's been raining for a week plus which is helping melt snow but not much else...

Monrin'. Last week of work before we go volunteer at Valley View Hot Springs for 2 weeks.
Can't wait. Camping the whole time. Lots to do to get ready though.
