We are 45 minutes from SFMIL2 and FIL coming in to town this afternoon to watch the girls all week while we're in SF.
If we were there for more than a few days I'd definitely want to see people or even go out for a ride, but this is just a long weekend. We're there Thur midday to Sun morning for Wifey's 20 year college reunion. I'll be spending Thursday and most of Friday dealing with MIL1 issues (condo and selling car), Saturday, assuming I'm not wrapped up with Wifey's friends, I'll be heading to SF to see my friends from school since I haven't seen most since pre-pandemic.We are 45 minutes from SF
You are in Tri Cities? Where do you ride that is not Sate Patrol? I always end up bringing the road bike when I am down there. Also yes, best taco trucks always in Pasco, I think they ran them out of Kennewick & Richland. It's the most wonderful time of the year.
Do you really not wash your riding gear immediately after using it?Hello monkeys. No bike riding today. I've run out of bibs and need to do laundry. Also ran out of coffee beans and apples... I guess Monday's do kind of suck.
For the most part we leave to ride. State Patrol is getting developed now, we rarely ride there these days. Generally drive down to Echo, OR or up to Ephrata as the nearest somewhat interesting ride spots. Or Hood River or Wenatchee if we wanted to make a whole day of it.Where do you ride that is not Sate Patrol?
No, I have a lot of crap and could go for a month. I just pile it up until there is enough to fill the washer... the humidity is pretty low here and there is always wind so it's not like I'm festering a wet & sweaty pile of stink.Do you really not wash your riding gear immediately after using it?
You really don’t need to out here. It’s so dry. You can get multiple days out of a riding shirt, gloves, etc.Do you really not wash your riding gear immediately after using it?

I do rinse the salt from my helmets though.
when its 90F and 90RH here my gear is soaking wet after a ride. if it doesn't get washed immediately, it will smell permanently. You really don’t need to out here. It’s so dry. You can get multiple days out of a riding shirt, gloves, etc.
i could afford a house here. You will notice that almost no mountain bikers move back east, this is one big reason for me.
I've been riding in smart wool and patagonia mtb shirts since mid-summer, and those are the real deal. Smell is significantly reduced. Days where it's cool enough to not sweat too much, I can go multiple days in the same shirt. I also ride in cotton and poly shirts... and the wool has become my go-to for trail riding.when its 90F and 90RH here my gear is soaking wet after a ride. if it doesn't get washed immediately, it will smell permanently.
16 days of tacos?!? It's like Festivus! It's the most wonderful time of the year.
For certain values of "not shitty"...and not in a shitty area.
