I was thinking of getting one of the new Mongoose khybers. Has anyone ridden on one or seen them in stores yet? The paint jobs don't seem so nice over the net either....doh, hopefully they'll be better in person.

Rode one up at Ray's a couple months ago, and was super impressed. Only problem is the interrupted seat tube if you're going to trail ride it. Otherwise, I'd say the thing felt as good/better than anything I've thrown a leg over. Sick little bike!

Saw one with the black to blue fade in person, it didn't look half bad.

Call up Allen at dropnzone.com in Bellingham, WA, he's prob got a couple on hand he could try that on and let you know. I keep thinking I've heard that you CAN put a coil on...but I do not know for fact.

Hey guys, you can not put a coil on the Khyber, there is not enough room where the shock goes through the frame. Awesome bike though, definately a good pricepoint if you get the Elite.

Technically, I don't think you can buy it as a frame only... But call the guy I mentioned earlier in my first reply...
