Also, just FYI - Mark went up to help with flood clean up and said that the Redemption Center (liquor store) will be closed for the forseeable future.... I know we all tend to bring our own stuff but wanted to give a heads-up. Both grocery stores are open for business.... and downtown East Burke was unscathed.

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Finalizing pricing and food today/tomorrow- aiming to keep the $200.
We are pretty full so if anyone wants to sleep in a tent outside or wants to bring a cot/air mattress for inside please let me know. The beds are all "reserved" with the list in the first post (@Sandwich you can remove jdcamb....I think he bailed a bit ago).
We have 4 couples coming this year and only 3 rooms with beds for them so I will be suggesting some rooms rather than a free for all. I may have a double high queen air mattress (need to see if we gave it away) for one couple to use too....I'll keep everyone posted. Right now all is good for riding and the weather should be decent...combine that with the great company and good eats and it should be another amazing MFest Weekend.

i am sick and won’t be able to make it. :(.

I have a few dozen cookies and mini cupcakes I was going to bring for all of you - if anyone will be driving through /nearish the western mass area and wants to pick them up I’ll come meet you somewhere to hand them off. I’m keeping my days off work so I’m happy to drive a bit… I'll check this thread later today/tonight or you can hit me up on Facebook messenger,

If I feel better by the weekend maybe I’ll come up for Sat night and say hello.

Highland Training is coming to Vermont!
We will be hosting offsite clinics covering pumping, cornering, drops, and beginner and intermediate jumping at the Wildflower Inn for the next three weekends. With immediate access to the Kingdom Trails network, you'll be able to quickly see the transformation in your riding technique and be ready to apply everything you've learned on your next visit to Highland!

I hope that's all beer.

See you all soon. I will leave tomorrow to get there around noon and out for a ride around 1. Will probably head toward darling hill as I haven't ridden there in a long time. Will try to do a bunch of miles.

Also, I put my XC-ish tires on the bike; fingers crossed it's not too muddy!

Where they any Canuckistan present?
I met some rando who ended up at our doorstep by accident. We went for a ride and after blowing the doors off me on every climb, we ended up riding together almost the whole weekend purely by chance. Great rider, kept up with me when I was trying my hardest on the DHs and could drink like a fish, too. He also didn't stab any of us, which was great. Oh yes, he was allegedly canadian, from Ottawa. You know him? :D

Regardless, much fun was had!

There were bikes, beers, bacon & monkeys....also Canada didn't kill Sandwich so we were definitely winning!

Canada didn't kill Sandwich, but may have killed one of those Tröegs kegs. Sorry, maybe not so sorry about that...

Thanks to the amazing Ride Monkey / Monkeyfest crew for proving that Vermont Mountain Bike Magic is alive and well! Meeting and conversing with so many wonderful people from all over the Northeast USA was truly heartwarming. If there are plans to leave unattended Tröegs kegs trailside next year, Canada may just have to find their way back. Cheers!
