I'm a maybe have not DH at white face in a couple years
As much as we'd oike to commit to MF this year, we can't do it until last minute, healt condition of familly member is becomming first priority... We'll let you know as we get closer to MF date....
I'm in! Sorry for the belated reply. I'm doing NEMBA fest as well, and so getting my kingdom trail fix.

What is the difference in price? Closer to the trails is worth it in my opinion.

Where are the awesome technical XC trails? How does the area compare to what we're used to in vermont? Need more info so that we can get all jacked up about the trip!

I'm okay with a 10 minute drive to keep the cost like it has been.
I'm partial to riding out the front door. Much more conducive to sloppy night rides.
I have requests out for 4 places (2 are houses, 1 is cabin with camping option and the other is a lodge style). The one I really wanted is on hold with another renter, but she will keep us in mind if they don't pay their deposit.
Another option to extend the festivities....we live about 2 hours south of Lake Placid and have some amazing trails, a pool and a large house with land. We could certainly host some monkeys for some riding here on either end of a Lake Placid weekend and that would extend the festivities while keeping the cost down.

I always want to extend the trip. The problem is that I can never find anyone else that wants to do it with me. Maybe this year will be different.
Dana, you're from Medway? My mother's family is from there.
I found what I think could be the perfect place, BUT they only do weekly rentals (Sat-Sat) BOOOO
Medway yes, but I'm a NH boy at heart.
Place is booked.....sending deposit now. We have it Thursday - Sunday and then all are invited back to our place on Sunday to ride some technical and also some flowy trails (whatever the group wants). We have a pool and a hot tub and a large home that has beds for many and acres of land for those who would rather toss in their tent and stay until Monday, Tuesday, etc......

I've got 5 people who say that they are going to attend with me, but every year they drop like flies when the date approaches. They are all saying Thur-Sun is what they can do. I very much want to stay an extra day or two, so I'm going to bring my car and tell them they can find their own way home. You guys know Mark and Matt - they came last year. The others are Will, Raj and Bill.
Anyone want to hit up Whiteface with me and the kid Saturday? If all goes as planned, we will only be shuttling the lower part of the mtn. Ended up NOT investing 1500 on a 24" FS for him, but he is getting his 1st MTB today! (used Hotrock that I plan to upgrade).
EDIT: I think we also plan to hit up the pump track in Wilmington after- bringing our BMX bikes as well.

Is it the more expensive or more distant house?
As long as the owner doesn't show up in a van with IV bags hanging and tries to give every new arrival an individually guided tour.
LOL! The house should be quite close to the trails. The owner said they were at least. Cost should be about the same too (woohoo). This was one of the first ones that I looked at and it wasn't initially available because of an Iron Man (race not the dude) booking but they had the week wrong so we were able to get in 
I am hoping the cost will be $100-125 range for food & lodging too! The link isn't working at school so I'll try to update it from home.

Treesaw, by when do you need final comittment to calculate price and plan the menu? It looks like I am a +5 but I want to get closer to the date until I give a solid comittment.
I am assuming that it will be ok to set up a tent in that big field. That's one more available bed for the masses.
