Well, recently I was in the UK and decided to purchase a front Hope mono M4. Upon returning to Australia, and subsequently mounting it to my bike, I have found that it is leaking from the left small piston. I have deduced that this could be either due to a dodgy piston, or some muck up/slip in mounting during the CNC process that has left my caliper with a slightly abnormal/mishapen/enlarged hole, although it does not appear to be so.

When I consulted my local forum ( www.farkin.net ) they couldn't really offer me much advice other than to order a new seal kit, which I have done. Keeping in mind the fact that this is a warranty issue, I have emailed Hope several (well two) times, only to find that they will not return my emails. I thought this was quite strange, as I always assumed that Hope was one of those companies that had outstanding customer support. The Australian distributor isn't very interested in my problem, as he didn't sell the unit, so no kebab there either. If I don't get an email back from Hope in the next few days, I guess I will ring their head office, but this is getting a taddle annoying on a system that is less than a month old.

Anyway, my main aim of whoring this huge whinge is that I wanted to see if anyone on this forum had had the same troubles, and how they had gone about it.

Regards, Hugh

Like the Farkin boys said, it would prolly be best to just replace your seal/s yourself if your distributor isn't willing to help. It's easy.

If you have a kit already, all you need are tools to remove the two different sized bore caps. Try www.chainreactioncycles.com for the tools, and maybe order a spare seal kit as well. I order all my Hope maintainance parts and pads from them. If you need help/advice on how to do it, they are willing to help.
