Anyone here done a back-to-back comparison of old M4s and the new hope 6-pot brake? What're your opinions - try not to bias your view with "I spent $200 on these 6pots so they MUST be better than the old 4pots"
Power is very similar, the M6's are a bit more powerful though, modulation is about the same. My full opinion, if you can get a scream'n deal on some of last years M4's do it. If you want the bling bling look spend the extra $ and go with the M6. I personally liked the M4 a lot, too bad this years Mono doesn't offer a 205mm rotor. Thats another plus with last years M4.

Cool, I have M4s already (and they're AMAZINGLY good compared to the set I had on my 222 which permanently sucked). I was just wondering if M6s are considerably less effort at the lever etc.

i concur. i just swapped my m4's to m6ti's & have pretty much the same opinion. the m4's rock. the m6ti's rock slightly more (but have 2.5x the bling factor).

how would you rate my chances of switching from mags (3 years of mags) to monominis and liking them better?
i just need a half good excuse...

For DH the Minis might not be the brake you want. Yes they are powerful, but won't give you the feel and total stopping power you are looking for. Go with the M4.

sorry forgot to mention its on a trailbike, the dh bike is a way off from completion yet. minis with 6" rotors to replace mags with 6" rotors (they have been giving me a hard time drag-wise lately)
