Yep for my 61st we are going monocle dining. I have bolded and underlined my preference ( If you need to ask the price you probably should not eat here but as I recall from a few years back that steak alone will run in the mid $40s, dinner for two with salads drinks appetizers and dessert will be around $200 plus tip

the food is excellent

Haps is good. Not sure it's good enough to justify the price. I approve of your selection though!

Have you been to Blue Agave? The margaritas are killer (real margaritas not blended sweet shit) and the Camarones Xochitl is one of the most interesting and unique dishes I've ever eaten. Fuck, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Oh My
Excellent 61st birthday dinner. We started with some salads then came the main course: Aged, Smoked, bone in Rib Eye with caramelized onions in a port reduction scalloped potatoes, artichokes, green beans. For dessert we had the chocolate souffle . That was one of the best steaks I have ever tasted, the flavor was incredible, perfectly medium rare with a nice sear. it literally melted in your mouth

Don’t make it down there often. No close relatives left in the greater Bay Area. So no.

Closest we’ve had is probably The Herbfarm in Woodinville, WA. Single seating per night, prix fixe, and chef dictates day’s menu.
